Baldev Thakor
President
Baldev Thakor serves as the Senior Leader of Maya Hotels
and provides business strategy and entrepreneurial spirit
for our growing hotel portfolio. Baldev holds a Bachelors
of Science degree from South Gujarat University, India.
Under his leadership Maya Hotels has grown from a small
organization with one single property to a midsize company.
As an involved hotelier since 1983, Baldev has established
an extensive career and is focused on niche areas such
as Finance, Development and Construction. An overview

JD Deva
CHA, Vice President/ Chief Operating Officer
As our Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Deva is responsible
for the oversight of our hotel portfolio and is actively
involved with all aspects of property operations including
Marketing, Human Resources, Information Technology and
Strategic Development. JD holds a Bachelors Degree in
Commerce from South Gujarat University, India and is
designated as a Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA)
from the American Hotel & Lodging Association. Maya
Hotels has become a well respected hotel ownership and
management company under the guidance of Mr. Deva and
his drive and direction have become the foundation of
our future growth & development.
JD takes great pride in being an active voice for the
hospitality industry & business community and has
provided his knowledge and business acumen to the following

Bryan D. Moore
Director of Hotel Operations
Bryan provides direct day to day operations support
and direction for all of our hotel properties, and is
the leading force behind our property standards and
procedures for future success. Bryan has an extensive
hotel career encompassing 23 years including experience
in all facets of the hospitality industry. Bryan has
worked with Marriott Hotels, Wyndham Hotels, Adam’s
Mark Hotels & Resorts and IHG - Holiday Inn Full
Service Properties. His vast experience in hotel management
has been gained by working with these fine management
companies Broadway Hospitality, Shaner Hotels and the
Crossroads Division of Interstate Hotels and Resorts.
Bryan is a graduate of the State University of New York
at Cobleskill and holds a Degree in Hotel Management.
Bryan is also a distinguished Graduate of the Walt Disney
World College Program.
Mr. Moore’s well rounded experience provides Maya
Hotels with the knowledge and resources to be successful

Naren Vivek
Purchasing & Procurement Specialist
Naren Vivek, a critical member of our company leadership
team, is responsible for our purchasing and procurement
for all of our hotel properties. Naren holds a BS Degree
in Accounting and Economics from the University of Wales,
Institute of Science &Technology in Cardiff, United
Kingdom. Mr. Vivek has build his hospitality experience
with various positions held at JHM Hotels in Greenville,
SC, including his work as Director of Administration.
At Maya Hotels, Naren is responsible for the review of
product specifications for FF&E and operating supplies
to identify most advantageous product and pricing for
the success of our individual hotel properties. Additionally
under Naren’s guidance we have implemented our central
purchasing system and has coordinated the buying power
used to support our properties. Naren is instrumental
in the development of our 4000 square foot warehouse located
at our corporate offices in Charlotte, NC. Mr. Vivek is
responsible for implementing the following at Maya Hotels:

Bobby Costea
CHA, Corporate Controller
Mr. Costea is designated as a Certified Hotel Administrator
(CHA) from the American Hotel & Lodging Association.
Bobby is our resident expert on hotel operations and procedures
and has been with Maya Hotels since it’s inception
in 1994. During that time Bobby and has held various positions
from General Manger of our first New Build hotel, the
Holiday Inn Express in Mt. Holly/Belmont, NC and was then
promoted to Director of Operations and was instrumental
in the development of our organization and he is responsible
for creating our foundation for success. As the company
has grown, Bobby has been promoted again to the Corporate
Controller. Under Bobby’s direction we have implemented
